Native Americans called April’s full Moon the “Full Pink Moon” because it heralded the appearance of the moss pink, or wild ground phlox—one of the first spring flowers. This happens on April 19th. This full moon reminds us that on our journey to be the very best versions of ourselves that while we may get knocked off our path, our hearts will always guide us back to where we need to be. Be still and listen to where your heart is leading you. <3
. . . . .
Last month I traveled to Wyoming to visit family and while I was on the airplane they were going over the emergency plan and rules that I am sure that everyone has experienced at least once in their lives. When they were talking about putting on your air mask on before helping others, this information spoke to me. We can't help others if we don't first take care of our needs. As a busy entrepreneur, wife and mom this resonated so deeply within me. When I am busy taking care of the business, the family or the house, I forget to take care of me. This usually leaves me feeling run down, stressed out and frustrated because I need care. I am sure you may have experienced this too.
Over the last few years I have learned that I am my very best when I take time to care for me, whether that is meditating, yoga or just sitting with my cup of coffee. I have learned that no one will ever care for me the way I care for me because at every single second of the day I know what my needs are without having to explain to anyone, but it took me a very long time to learn, implement and just know this.
It started with loving me - every aspect of myself, good and bad - when I was able to accomplish this, my whole world changed. Now I don't get easily stressed out or frustrated. I have learned to better communicate my needs so that I can take time in my day even if it is 10 minutes.
This month the box theme is the Anahata - Heart Chakra. The Heart Chakra is the midpoint of the 7 Chakras and plays a very important role. When the three lower chakras are open and flowing it allows the Anahata to be open, when this is open you feel the love and connected to the energy around you. This month lets start by learning to love ourselves first.
This month's box includes:
- A three strand Rose Quartz adjustable bracelet
- 10ml Heart Chakra Essential Oil Roller made with Rose, Neroli and Lemongrass
- Large Rose Quartz Chunk w/ stand approx 5" tall
- Jade Facial roller
- This month's yoga sequences
- Anahata Mandala downloadable workbook and coloring pages

I absolutely love the month of April it is like nature is waking up from a long nap. The flowers bloom and the bees come out and the trees make that just waking up stretch. Not only do you see everything come alive again, but the birds are up at 4 am, which can suck if you aren't a morning person, for me I love just grabbing a cup of tea and being still in the early dawn, with the dew on the lawn and the birds going crazy. These moments are one of the most beautiful times in my whole day.
I encourage and challenge you dear reader, to take just one day maybe on the weekend or maybe during the week and push through and get up just before the sunrise. Give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes to use the restroom and make your coffee or tea so that you can settle into the morning preparing for your day with full intention.
With love & gratitude, Jen xx
